The MSU College of Nursing MSN programs are accredited by the Center for Credentialing Nursing Education. The Nurse Anesthesia Program has received accreditation through the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, (222 South Prospect Avenue, Suite 304, Park Ridge, Illinois 60060-4041: Telephone 847-692-7050), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Programs. Classes will be based in East Lansing with clinicals in our affiliating agencies across the state.
2011 applications for the Nurse Anesthesia concentration are now CLOSED. Applications for 2012 will be available in January 2011.
Applications to the Nurse Practitioner concentration are now OPEN. The deadlines are as follows:

Interviews are by invitation only and will be held November 2nd through November 4th 2010 and February 28th through March 4th, 2011. Please hold these dates in the event you are selected for an interview.
Applications for the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Education concentration are now OPEN.

Basic Requirements to be Considered for Admission
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Proof of an RN license free from restrictions or limitations.
- A grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) for total credits completed during the last two years of a baccalaureate program.
- A 3-credit undergraduate statistics course must have been successfully completed within the last five (5) years. For the Fall 2011 Program, this means that statistics should have been taken no earlier than Fall 2006. You may apply for the program even if your prerequisite statistics course is in progress. Any student admitted to the Fall 2011 program must have their statistics course complete no later than August 31, 2011.
- One year of clinical experience in nursing prior to clinical courses for Nurse Practitioner applicants.
