[Nursing Scholarships] 2011-2012 Pre-Nursing Scholarships

The following three scholarships are available for the 2011-2012 academic year for freshman or sophomore level University of Montana students in good academic standing who are majoring in Pre-Nursing.   Application packets are available in the Pre-Nursing Advising Office (Lommasson Center 286) and are due April 15, 2011.  Contact Tami Breske at tami.breske@mso.umt.edu with questions.

RUTH E. BENNETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($400)
The Ruth E. Bennett Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998 by Paul D. Bennett and Thomas A. Bennett in memory of Ruth, who was Paul’s mother and Thomas’ wife.  The Ruth E. Bennett Memorial Scholarship recipient will be a University of Montana Pre-Nursing student and be chosen on the basis of academic progress.  The recipient will be awarded $200 per semester for the fall 2011/spring 2012 school year.

STOLL FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP ($1000)
This scholarship was established in memory of Gertrude Cope Stoll, Rudy (Skip) Stoll and Theresa M. Stoll-Sholey in 1990 and is to be awarded on a rotating basis to deserving students enrolled in The University of Montana Pre-Nursing and Pharmacy programs.  The scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year is to be awarded to a Pre-Nursing student in memory of Gertrude Cope Stoll.  The recipient will be awarded $500 per semester for the fall 2011/spring 2012 school year.

MARY L. COBB MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($2000)
This scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Mary L. Cobb to be awarded to deserving University of Montana students enrolled in the Pre-Nursing program.  The recipient must have graduated from a Montana high school, with preference being given to students from the Augusta, Cut Bank or Kalispell areas.  This scholarship may be received more than once, provided the student reapplies for the award each year.  The recipient will be awarded $1,000 per semester for the fall 2011/spring 2012 school year.
